Who drives 20 miles out of the city into the countryside for visit their dentist? This is what you do when you live In Aberdeen and get treatment at Blairdaff Dental. This you do when the treatment you receive at the foot of Bennachie is that good, not mention the scenery, and the possibility to combine the treatment with a walk in the forest.I ended up at Blairdaff Dental upon recommendations, after having been less than satisfied with other practices. My teeth needed a new approach.In Blairdaff Dental I first saw CEREC technology in action, receiving a crown in one single sitting. My teeth look younger than myself now, while before they looked way older, and chewing could be a problem. I suffer from bad teeth, and thanks to modern dental technology I can still call my teeth my own, not just because I have paid for them, but because they are still firmly connected to my jaw. To keep it this way I am prepared to meet the cost and Dr Yovchev’s work is good value.Besides the very friendly atmosphere, I have always been able to get an appointment in an emergency same day or next day, even outside the regular practice hours. I hardly ever need to wait for treatment once at the practice.Dr Yovchev has a very friendly and gentle manner, explains what needs to be done and keeps the commentary up during treatment. I have caught myself falling asleep during treatment, which illustrates the comfort I experience. A nice touch is the photographic documentation which he provides if desired.
Also the assistant and receptionist are very friendly and competent.The practice is well equipped, technically for treatment, but also for patient comfort and information, which includes a coffee machine, dental technology videos and even a VR set, and if you like the sound of the saxophone you’ll definitely like it here.Obviously one would prefer not to need a dentist at all. However, if there is a need, Dr Yovchev’s practice is worth a try.
If you are looking for the best go no further. Blairdaff Dental is a friendly welcoming practice where patients feel relaxed and important. Dr.Yovchev is an excellent dentist who is enthusiastic, professional, caring, attentive and very thorough - if you have had treatment such as root canal etc.The practice does follow up calls to check that you are ok. He takes time to talk through issues with patients and takes on board what you say and he has dogged determination to get things right and his standards really high.The practice is modern hi-tech and continues to invest in latest technology.I recently had health issues which went on for some time - night sweats, sore throat, stomach upsets saw my GP and had various blood tests etc. then referred to ENT consultant for sinus scans but nothing showed up. This was followed later by pain in my upper jaw. Dr. Yovchev found no issues with upper teeth but traced the problem to an infected lower molar and took action to put this right. Because I had been ill for some time he treated me at the practice on a Friday afternoon when they are normally closed. I have been in good health since and am so grateful for the level of service and relief he provided.The Blairdaff Practice was near my place of work - which was why I joined but is about 45 minutes form my home and although I no longer work in the area I am more than happy to continue to be treated there because of the standard of service provided and the confidence I have even although my nearest dental practice is only minutes away.
Brilliant practice!Dr Yovchev is a proffesional, highly experienced and very kind dentist. One can tell even by spending few minutes around him and under his care that he is extremely passionate about his work and this reflects on the way he perform the dental treatments. He is easily aproachable, patient and eager to explain the procedures to his patients. The results of his treatments are fantastic.As a patient I have been there 3 times so far. I have seen the way he works with his team and communicates with other patients and it is very pleasent to be in the practice. Lastly, I attended for scale and polish and air abrasion cleaning of my teeth. I was extremely satisfied with the results and had a pleasent experience despite being a very nervous patient. I am going back for a veneer in few weeks time.Last but not least, the practice is equipped with top of the range dental equipment and the majority of the procedures, including crowns and venners can be completed on the same day.I recommend Blairdaff Dental and Dr Yovchev to everybody, who wants to get their teeth treated properly, with great care and who want to feel safe in the hands of their dentist.
I’d highly recommend the services offered by Blairdaff Dental.As well as being an excellent dentist, Mike and his team offer a very friendly and very relaxed service.Appointment times aren’t rushed and are relaxed, allowing Mike to talk through the procedures. There is also tea and coffee readily available for waiting times during appointments. The standard of Mike’s work is exceptionally high and he takes great pride in this. Mike has also continually invested in the practice and enthusiastically explains the new equipment and his vision for the practice’s future.Mike himself is very approachable and friendly. He takes the time to explain issues and places no pressure on having work carried out.From someone who has had a chequered past with dentists, Mike has allowed me to have the confidence that my teeth are in the best condition possible. I couldn’t recommend Mike and his team more highly.
I have recommended him to my friends.At my next dental check up I shall be 88 years of age and since I had a stroke can no longer drive there, but Rebekah Milne the receptionist at Blairdaff Dental comes to pick me up and drives the 3 miles there kindly helping me into the car and parks near the doors that I have only a few steps to go to get in.Last time Dr. Yovchev put in a new crown, it was much faster than before and dental nurse Linda ensured that I was comfortable explaining the procedures and putting cushion behind my neck.
Dr. Yovchev has assured that I have a full set of working teeth and inevitably some plastic and I feel confident biting and chewing.He has all the latest equipment and I feel fortunate to be looked after by him and his staff.
Blairdaff Dental is the only practice I have ever been to, and it would not surprise me if it is the best of any, such a modern and beautifully done up place, and always something new to be seen every time I go there.
Whether it be a huge modern wall clock made by Mike, smart new uniforms with embroidered logos or a large front mat with matching logo and lots of new equipment never seen before to help the staff and put the patient at ease while being treated.I do recommend the practice to other people because of the short waiting time for treatment and the successful results achieved, along with very helpful and pleasant staff doing their utmost to deliver a first class service.Dr Mihael Yovchev could well be the best young dentist as he has introduced so many pieces of equipment to better the practice
I am happy to be a patient of Blairdaff DentalAt 80 years of age in October , am so grateful for the use of Home services that they provide.I find the staff Dr. Yovchev, Linda and Rebekah always professional and helpful but not intrusive.I have recently had new dentures and it is a testament to the skill of Dr. Yovchev and technical staff they are comfortable without adjustments.Its not easy to use a livingroom for measurement, impressions and fitting.
I would recommend Blairdaff Dental as a great dental practice. Everyone is very professional but most of all friendly.
The staff go the extra mile and Mike explains the cause of pain being experienced and what happens next. He is very enthusiastic about new methods and buying innovative equipment.I wish the team well and have just recently brought my husband to register with Blairdaff Dental.
